I once wrote a song about a woman who killer her children, so I'm not afraid nor against dark themes.  That being said, overall, I like this song, yet there are a few things that distract from the horror of this picture show.  One, the vocal seems an afterthought.  Its dispassionate style seems to mock the horror of the situation rather than ramp it up.  Maybe that's a plus.  It depends on one's outlook, I suppose.  The other distraction is the cardboard sounding drums that takes the tension away from the guitar.  The snare is OK, but the bass drum and toms, though well played/programmed sound weak.  I would also like to hear a little more low end in the bass guitar for tonal balance.  With just a few tweaks, this could be a gem, albeit, a scary one.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Thank you very much! The drums are actually what we are trying to fix up right now and has been something we have been discussing a lot. I am pretty sure we did that song with mc3 now I am using mc6 and just picked up a condenser mic to try to get a better sound (as well as tuning the drums of course).

    Have a great day!
