[RESOLVED] SONAR, Windows 10, SampleMoog & SampleTron

Hi. Just upgraded to Windows 10. Got everything from Windows 7 working, except for SampleMoog and SampleTron. Sonar doesn't see them at all, even though the path is defined for the VST scan and I've reset and rescanned a couple times. I've got a question posted over on the IK forums, but I thought I ask here as well, in case anyone else had come across this and figured anything out.

Thanks for your response, Kevin. Good thought, but, unfortunately, no. I've given full control of the DLLs and INIs to all groups/users, but the issue persists.

I was able to resolve the issue by selecting "re-scan existing plug-ins" before rescanning. I didn't think this would be necessary after having reset and rescanned all my plugins, but I also started running Sonar as an administrator and I wonder if the combination of the two made the difference.

     running Sonar as an administrator

My guess is this was the true fix. It has been for many running old IK plug-ins.

Hey, scook. Running as an administrator alone did not resolve the issue, as I had been run a number of scans as an administrator without success before checking "Re-scan existing plug-ins".

Yeah, if the synths get marked as bad, "Re-scan existing plug-ins" or Reset should fix it. A simple rescan won't cut it regardless of permissions. I would go for the reset myself but I don't customize the VST Inventory so have nothing to lose by clearing and completely rebuilding it.

A quick question - I take it Samplemoog and Tron are the original 32bit versions? If yes I could never get them to work nicely on my system until I bridged them with J Bridge - then they were more or less OK. Just a thought
