RESOLVED -Sonar X2Pro/Mackie MCUPro (X2a patch resolves-Thanks Karl!)
Hello Everyone. I hope y’all are well (southern colloquial term :))
I am still working and trying to correct a communication issue between Sonar X2Pro-64 bit (haven’t loaded the A patch yet) and my Mackie MCUPro.
My last post of a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that pressing the REC button did ARM the track(s)in Sonar but that the button on the MCU did not illuminate.
I may have misspoken in that first post when I said I had the same issue with the MCU SOLO & MUTE buttons-that is not the case – they properly toggle Sonar and also illuminate and depressing these a 2nd time function the SOLO or MUTE off properly in Sonar. A bit of new information.
Working with Mackie, I have run a loopback on the MCU (MIDI cable from IN to OUT) and all buttons work, sending and receiving signals and illuminating all lights including the REC button on the MCU Having tested both the MCU USB connectivity (direct USB port on DAW MB-not through a hub) and MIDI ports (ports through a Presonus FS Project), the results are the same- the REC light properly ARMS the Sonar track but does not illuminate.
I have also tested this with running Sonar either normally or ‘run as ADMIN’ but it does not make a difference.
I’ve contacted CW Support yesterday but have not yet heard back; though I am sure they will respond. I recall from my first post that Paul (FBB) and John responded mentioning they had no issues (Thanks guys for your response).
Could there possibly be a re-assigned CC message somewhere in PREFs ? Could something have gone awry in ACT thought I have not used that? While this is not debilitating, I have to manually mouse un-arm the track in Sonar and I’d like the visual queue of the REC light when the track is armed and being able to un-arm from the MCU also- it’s old habit growing up on old 70s consoles :)
Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, etc would be gratefully appreciated.
Best Regards to All,
