    Sorry to see him go.  He gave us a few laughs.  No one made robot drumming more fun.

    Best encore I ever saw … Devo in concert at the Capitol Theater in Passaic NJ sometime in '81 or '82 (with Alan on drums).  They returned to the stage and did their interpretation of Working in a Coal Mine complete with coal miner headlamps and what appeared to be coal dust (I am sure we were stoned).
     
    The Devo version of Working in a Coal Mine version was also was included on the sound track to Heavy Metal, an all-time favorite of mine.
