    So sad.  RIP Allen.  I saw the BOC a few years back and they were as tight as ever.  

    Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

    I met both Allen and "Buck Dharma" that night we opened for them in San Diego ('84) at the Bacchanal.  They billed themselves as Soft White Underbelly as a tribute to their long-term fans.  He was about as quiet then as they describe.  Buck, on the other hand, talked a lot - lol.
