RIP Carol Ann Susi

Apparently she was the voice of a character's unseen mother in "Big Bang Theory" (I'm sure Bitflipper will know what I'm talking about). I never watched the show, but I do remember her from the Seinfeld episode called "The Boyfriend." She played the daughter of the woman in George's unemployment office - George went on a date with her in a bid to have his unemployment extended. Thick Queens accent and an attitude to match. She was one of the best one-off characters in the show. Way too young at 62.

She was the voice of Mrs. Wolowitz, Howard's unseen mother.

Bummer...    as a "voice only" character she was perfect.

And just when she was getting along so well with Stuart from the comic book store...

Looks like there's more Big Bang fans here than I thought, lol.....might have to give it a watch sometime if it's on Netflix.

Good point...    The big comic store buyout never went anywhere, did it...

Sharke, like any TV show it's not for everyone, but I personally find it pretty @#$% funny!  So much quark-level neurosis in 30 minute chunks.

My apologies, I am not a fan of this show, but I am still saddened to hear of the passing.
My thoughts go to her friends and family

I will give it a go. My girlfriend says she rates it but we've never watched it together because I think she thinks I won't find it funny. I'm pretty fussy about comedies and for some reason some of them just don't click. I never found SNL funny for instance, and I watched an episode of Parks and Recreation last night and didn't find it nearly as funny as everyone told me it would be. I could never get along with the American version of The Office either. Having said that, It's Always Sunny makes me crack up and I've heard people say they didn't find it even remotely funny. I love Louis C.K. as well.

I loved SNL back in the OLD days.  Eddie Murphy, Steve Martin, John Candy, yada, yada.  but never watched it much after they left.
I have never even heard of Parks & Recreation, so I guess I don't know if it's funny or not.

can't stand The Office.

don't know what Always Sunny is either.

but I love me some BBT.  like I said, I can relate to them!
