R.I.P. Dave Madden

Another sit-com actor passes.  Dave played the manager on the Partridge Family.

    "Funny story" ...years ago the local "big" advertising agency assigned a new hire (the daughter of a prominent real estate developer in the city) to secure a studio in LA and book Coach John Madden to be the signature voice of a regional bank. Instead...yup...she, not having a clue who John Madden was booked Dave Madden...a very well known LA VoiceOver instead. He, when discovering her mistake at the beginning of the session could not have been more gracious and understanding. She actually kept her job. Super nice guy. Rock on, Dave!

    Cool story, Ol' pal.  I was a little older than the target audience for the Partridge Family, so I can say I was a fan.  I saw enough of it to know who everyone was, including Dave.
