RIP Davy Jones! My Monkees Tribute (But a bit more my style)
Grew up a big fan of that crazy band. I had some fun with one of the Monkees classics, Daydream Believer, nothing serious, but it was a lot of fun. Give it a listen (it's pretty short), and if you happen to have a drink - toast it to "Little Davy" while you're listening! Oh - and tell me what you think of the arrangement. Thanks. Daydream Believer

Nice job. I enjoyed listening to this fun filled tribute to one of corporate rock's greatest bands. There have been many interesting versions of the Monkees hits over the years, and this is one of them.

I like the way you did this, good vocal and style. I like the style alot!!! If there was a remake of this, it should be something like this to bring it up to a new sound RIP Davy

Thanks to all for taking the time to listen and respond. I actually started arranging this just sorta for kicks. But it eventually developed into what you hear. And what made it fun, was that I had no preconceived ideas - I just winged it. But I admit - I think it's catchy. It's already a great song, so it's hard to mess up a great song. Even for me!! Thanks again

Hi Harlon, Great job! This is a cool interpretation of a really good tune. I heard John Stewart ( the guy who wrote the song ) sing it years ago but instead "a homecoming queen" he sang "an old closet queen" RIP Davy Jones

Nice interpretation - kind of modern without stomping all over the original feel. As you say the hard work was done, but yeah it is still possible to mess up a great song, but I think you did this one justice.
