Wow. Didn't see that one coming. Pardon me if this comes across a tad selfish, but that was the last concert I was hoping to see yet while I still could, hoping they'd come around again. I had just missed them 6 years ago when they came up to Vancouver. I saw Don Henley about 25 years ago, but I would have really liked to catch the Eagles together. Sounds like many were expecting him to recover. Didn't sound life threatening, but who's to say these days - or any days.

and/or Bernie... IIRC Glen had problems with him too. I can't say I was a fan of Glen as a person (based from what I have seen in interviews and documentaries) but there is no denying his contributions to music, and he certainly died too young. R.I.P.

Hi, Not one of my favorite bands, but one has to appreciate some very nicely crafted songs, and done with very well developed vocals. I always thought "The Eagles" as the perfect shine of the California nothingness, but in the end, they were not bad ... some nice songs, and none of us could say that they do not like this song or that song. RIP

I hope so. RIP Glenn. I saw The Eagles before I knew who they were. They opened for YES on the CTTE tour at the Atlanta Memorial Auditorium. It was a great venue. Witchy Woman had just hit. All I really remember is that they were good. They should be able to get someone to fill in for Glenn to tour, if they want to. I'd go see them with Felder. I don't know, it would all probably be awkward for them to do, at first. After learning a lot of Neil Young, I cut my solo acoustic skills on covers from the Desperado album. Too many people dying too young lately. It is unnerving... Julien

Probably so, but it comes down to financial need I hope they do. Don probably wont but the others may. If they need the money, I hope he will work with them. I decided I wouldn't go see them without Felder. That's over now. If they got together and toured I'd go see them if I could (if it was convenient). I imagine it would still be a good show. Maybe they shouldn't try and replace Glenn in a show. I bet between them they could work it out, that might be the best (if they were to do anything). J

You have to hand it to the band from both the composition and recording side. I always thought their recordings were amazing when you add the shear density of instruments and vocals occurring simultaneously. Everything has it's space in the spectrum and it's place in the composition. I spent quite a number of hours listening and watching footage from the late 70's tours. Still their best works in my opinion.
