RIP John Wetton
No official announcement but reliable sources on Twitter are saying John has passed away. I know he has been ill for some time.
I an still hoping its not true but it seems another great has left us.
Edit - confirmed by Geoff Downes. What awful news.

RIP to yet another bass legend.
In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

2017 is NOT turning out to be any better than 2016 was (so far)... I don't even want to think about how many albums I have with John on them! RIP John.
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

RIP John Wetton. I met him on a number of occasions and he came across as such a nice chap. I even met him in his drinking days, after more than a few, and he was charming even then. So strange that he, Greg and Keith should die so close to each other. His voice, bass playing and composition/songwriting skills will be greatly missed.
