"RITUAL" song+video movie score from "BARAKA"...

Tried to watch, Shawn, but the screen came up with the loading circle in the middle but never did finish.  I'll try again later.

The link worked, Shawn.  The hypnotic circle in the middle of the video screen just never stopped.  I'm looking at it again and it's still going.  Could be on my end.  I've listened to tunes but haven't tried another video.  I'll try again in the morning.  Still turning.

Shawn, this is simply terrific!  It's very exotic and hypnotic with the video.  Great advertising for your studio and skills.  Kudos!

Heard this elsewhere and it seemed most appropriate and well done.

Well done but it is definitely copyright infringement. Youtube is horribly inconsistent about removing such things so it may not get taken down. I got a notice once about "possible copyright infringement" because I used a clip from my own tv show. Took weeks of replying to automated responses to get them to understand I was the copyright holder.

The music was made at the time of the making of the movie, I did not ask them initially if I could do this, I did it 20 years later and then showed it to them and they liked it so I use it as a promotional piece for my self and them. It's a blessing!

The original natural sound includes the full movie soundtrack both the chanting and the soundtrack music by Michael Stearns.  I think the result of blending the 2 pieces is an interesting concept, but I don't think you should state "Music by www.soundtraxxmusic.com"

I definitely liked what I heard and thought it matched up real well with the feel of the video.   That said, I have no idea what was done by whom...

OK, to help clear up some confusion between what I produced and the makers of "BARAKA" produced here is a soundcloud link to the raw original .mp3 "=of my song - "RITUAL".  Before I wrote that song I spent a friday day and eveneing at a house in Minneapolis, MN smoking things and eating pizza with mushrooms while listening to Dr. John's - "Right Place Wrong Time album".  I remember I had a wedding to film saturday morning and I had to leave my house in Hastings MN by about noon so when I was capable I went home early that morning to crank out a song. The result was "RITUAL" made with BARS & PIPES Professional & and AMIGA 4000 with a STUDIO16 AD516 stereo audio card with my Roland U-20 keyboard as the controller.  I remember banging my open hands one after the other on the "TOM DRUM" sample to make it sound like a bunch of people drumming at the same time. I swear I was in a trance when I made this song also again when I matched the music up 20 years later to this non-scored piece of the awesome film "BARAKA".
 
ULTRABRA- I know there was some added synth and percussion sounds to the raw footage of this scene before I got to it, I guess I should state by music was "added" to the soundtrack of "BARAKA" but now with this upload of my original song - "RITUAL" people will have a btter idea of what I mean.  I'm sorry if the www.soundtraxxmusic.com labels offend people in this forum so much, it's my baby. I would have to re-edit the video and re-upload it to youtube and then make new links in this message to get rid of it but from now on atleast in the CakeWalk forumns I am going to try to keep that link off of my posts.
