RME Fireface UC USB advice needed (Jim Roseberry, please chime in)

I've been using a Delta 66 for years and it's time to move on......I've seen a price of $1075 for a new RME Fireface UC and I'm ready to pull the trigger on this. I'm looking for high quality conversion at this point, I've already got pro mikes and preamps. I've been a Lynx fan for years, and from what I've read, Lynx and RME are on par with each other?

I was going to go with a Roland OctaCapture, but again I need the best sound quality at this point.
Thanks!

I have the Babyface so that is all I can say is - I like it.
The UC perhaps has a plastic knob on it that some people say will break.
All I can go is by what other say though and RME seems to be up there perhaps on top.

As for the UC it may be just a little older, but that should not be bad either.

The price was from Hello Music.......I've bought a Taylor acoustic, a Fender Tweed Blues Deluxe amp, and a Fender Active P Bass Special from them recently and they are the lowest prices I've seen anywhere.....hellomusic.com
