RME retailer in Munich or Vienna
Can one of our German or Austrian members please suggest a good RME retailer in Munich, Graz or Wien? I'm chasing a UCX. My Googling has not been much help. Thanks CC

Thomann. They have good prices and great service from their webshop Thomann.de, sending most stuff over 100e is usually free within Europe. And I believe they're Munich based? Southern Germany anyway.

Thomann is located in Treppendorf, Bavaria, 250km from Munich and well worth a visit. And perfect for online ordering worldwide. In Munich there's Lindberg and JustMusic, don't know if they've got the ucx in stock. Just call'em.

Great tips everyone. I'm in Graz at the moment but might call Klangfarbe first in the morning. (Apparently I can also get the mehrwertsteuer back when I leave for home). Much appreciated CC

Hi Guys I now have the UCX up and working. It turned out that Musik Hammer had a unit here in Graz and sold it to me at the Thomann price. A first I was shocked by how small it is but ... damn, this thing is good! Thanks all - no post-purchase depression here. CC

Yes, and you are right about the DigiCheck. I love the way you can just pull it up on any app. Have you noticed that there is a new version with LU's available? Been trying it with a Buzz Audio pre and an 1176 - very happy. (Decided to order rack-mount brackets from Germany: In for a penny, in for a pound!). Cheers CC

Most cool! I have the RME Quad Mic Pre as well. http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec03/articles/rmequad.htm This turns the 1 1/2 rack into a full rack 1U. And with DigiCheck, you can launch as many copies at once as you want. So if you have room on your monitor, you can set up a Spectral Analysis or Totalyzer for every input. I believe by Shift+Clicking in Windows 7 and 8 you can open another instance of any application you already have open.
