ROLAND E-600 instrument definition (*.ins)

Hi all,
I'm trying to revive my old Roland E-600 and try to use it with MC6.  I'm looking for Roland E-600 *.ins file.
Maybe you know where can I find this file?

How are you wanting to use it...?

If it sends midi, then all that's needed is to get the midi in to a midi track.  A standard midi/audio interface with 5 pin midi will work well.

If you want to migrate the sounds... well that is a different matter of which I know little.

    Hi,
generally my stuff works fine but while i'm using MC6 & midi I can reproduce only General Midi sounds.
I'm looking for methods to select any sound, not only GM.  I'm not an advanced user, but I think that the problem is in the lack of of the instrument definition.  Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

    Welcome to the forum.
An instrument definition will enable you to select a particular patch of your keyboard and have it play back correctly, as you know.
I don't know where you can get the ID now, except an extensive search of the internet. You can also create your own. I've read that it's not hard, just a little time consuming.
But, if you choose no bank or patch in the MC 6 MIDI track pane and set your keyboard to the patch you want to hear, the MIDI data will play whatever patch you have selected and you can record that into an audio track in MC 6.

You simply need to learn how to use a soft synth..... it sounded like you wanted to import the sounds in your synth.... that's taking the HARD road.

Look here>>  http://www.cakewalk.com/CakeTV/Music-Creator.aspx  and watch Part 4 on using the Cakewalk Sound Center

All synths will work in a similar way using the sounds and samples that are unique to them.

Run through the videos and they will help you get started... then come here and ask specific questions.
