RXP vs Dimension Pro...

Does anyone here that has both Sonar and Dimension Pro use RXP for REX2 when you have Dimension Pro...other than CPU I guess, is there really a reason to use RXP over Dimension Pro for REX2 since Dimension Pro gives you plenty more options for tweaking the loop?

I believe with RXP you can change the order and randomize the slices on screen.

AFAIK, Dim Pro does not load Rx2 loops... am I wrong?

Sure it does, as of 1.2. In addition, you can drag and drop them from a Win Explorer window right over the interface. The core mapping can be dragged back out as a MIDI file to your host application (I haven't tested every possible host app, however.)

Well I just tried it with Dimension Pro and Ableton Live, and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Dimension Pro is awesome. It still amazes me. I can drag the midi file right from Dimension's interface into one of Ableton Live's session view clips. No crashes, no glitches, no problems. All midi data transferred perfectly and there in Live I can edit and change the loop just the way I want to.

    NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DimPro is great for Rex loops, though using just as a "player" I would guess that RXP is lighter on resources. Not sure if youcan use RXP in Live though, I've never tried, but it works in Reaper.

Battery 3 also works as a cool Rex player; it splits the loops onto different cells as well as giving you the full loop on one cell.
