Rabbit Hole - a new Pugtones tune.

Ok - I'm not sure what Warren was smoking when he wrote the lyrics to this one - but there is no doubt he was smoking something - and I love them.

This is our first tune in a while - maybe the first one this year - not sure.

As is normally the case - I wrote the music, played the guitars and did the production work on this one - Warren Willingham wrote the lyrics, sang and played the bass.

This one is pure light-hearted fun. For some reason when I listen to this I think that this could be a collaboration between Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble. I'm not sure why I think that - but I do.

Thanks in advance for taking a listen to Rabbit Hole.

I enjoyed that it was a bit of fun, I agree Warren must have imbibed something to arrive at those lyrics.  Mix sounded OK here, thanks for sharing.

Really nice guitar work on this Mark. The only thing I didn't like is that the drums had this weird damped effect on them where there would be absolute silence between some hits. It was distracting. Otherwise, funny, playful tune with lots of old school rock vibe.

Hell yes, I love this funky thing!  Mark/Warren....
Great job guys, this one has it all, great lyrics and singing, drums and bass that are popping and jumping and groovy ass guitar riding all through.  Man, this is definitely my fave Pugtones tune to date.  The mix sounded great on this end as I could easily hear every instrument and those great lyrics that Warren did.  Yeah baby, look at that mushroom grow!  LOL  Nice stuff.  Made my Sunday for sure!

John(Wook)- Well, buddy, it's been 28 years since I imbibed in anything.  However, for 20 years after I got out of the army I was a wandering soul and experienced MANY ways of life.  So, at times these memories (flashbacks?) come back without provocation.  These lyrics are an example of that.  Thanks for listening and commenting.

Dan- Thanks for listening and for your comments.

Tony- Hey, thanks buddy.  We appreciate your great comments.  Nice to have a song up at the same time you guys do.  Memories!!!

Scotty- Thanks, we appreciate you taking the time to listen.

    cclarry- Well thank you!!

great song guys. love the main crawly riff, some great guitar and bass playing on this. the vocals also fit perfectly. i can see what dan is saying about the fx tails on the drums in the very short drum break in the middle- obviously chopped up loops - but it was so short didn't matter. Pugtones in Wonderland,eh?

fun is right!  cools stuff guys!

Mark - smokin on that guitar solo!
    Warren - bass is eggsellent!

    lyrics are definitely fun!

parts of the drums are good, but there are some issues, I think.  the kick sounds dull while the snare is sometimes good, sometimes dull.

too much verb for my taste

    That was a trip...

It was like, straightforward, but at the same time not so much.   Good stuff.    The mushroom harmonies.   As were those random little breaks.     Oh, and the main vocal line/guitar riff is just a bit catchy.
