Very nice stuff Jerry!  You merge the synths with the strings quite well.  Love it!

Sounds great on my system.  Nicely done!  Nice composing.  I got dizzy in the bridge.  :P
If you were to use orchestral instruments for the synth part, would it be a plucek strings, harp, piano, both?
I think it was over before the 2nd bridge (the darker part).  However the stucatto section that came after was worth the wait.

    All the best,

    Hey Rimshot,

There are two synth parts, an ostinato with modulating harmonics, and a pad.  I knew I wanted strings with the ostinato part, and the pad was needed for harmonic rhythm and textural variety.

I listen deeply to what's going on in the complex synthesizer tones that are often synced to tempo and have interesting filter, envelope and amplitude modulations.  These new sounds can provide inspiration and information as to how to construct the harmonic, contrapuntal, timbral and rhythmic resources that form the composition. Lot's of cc techniques to get everything to blend as best as possible.

Jerry, Well, for me that was outstanding and very nicely composed and arranged, nice instrumentation and a great solid mix. But then, I went to several of your links and can now understand why. Seems you have had quite an interesting career and congratulations on that, for sure. Like your studio, at least what can be scene in the photos. Reminds me of an old friend I had when I lived in San Diego, maybe you know him- Peter Eros. I was a contractor and did a lot of work for him. He worked with the San Diego Symphony as its conductor, back in the 60's/70's. Great piece you have done here. Very nicely done, indeed!

    Peace and Blessings, John

excellent Jerry - not what I was expecting at all as Raga is also a style of classical Indian music.
I am also impressed with the blend of synth and traditional string sounds

Glad you enjoyed it John.  No, I don't know, or know of, Peter Eros.

As the others have said, nice song.  Esp. nice to see traditional strings melded w/ synth stuff.  Synth EDM?  That is unusal, at least in my neck of the woods.

And impressive web site.  Like the music, says professional.

Not sure what "EDM" is...  The synth I'm using is Z3TA-2.1, what is EDM?

As Waltenstein sez, Electronic Dance Music.  It was an electronica (a bad term, but seems to work) form.  Not dance music so much but a good beat, electronic bass.  For a while it always had a wandering piano line in it.  Uses a lot of the same sounds you did - Z3TA was a favorite.  Usually the programming was a big part - unusual instrumentation.
