Raptue makes sonar 7 crash?

Hi there

I brought sonar 7 producer in june time this year. It took me untill now to get it all sorted but what i have seen of it, it has been great!

I brought it with the pro suite (Rapture, Dimension Pro And Project 5), and have been running project 5 while trying to work out what was wrong with Sonar 7. I was running rapture on Project 5 and it was working fine every time, but when i try to use it on sonar, the program crashes and promptly exists, Not a brilliant way to aid the creative flow :P !!!

Does anyone have any ideas why this may be? Dimension pro works fine on sonar 7, so do most of my other plugins. I understand i do not have enoguh ram, (1.5 gb) to run some plugins since i am using vista. could this be the problem with rapture?.

could anybody suggest anything?

Many thanks

Lewis.

    Hi Lewis..

well with vista I'd say 1.5+ was good.. depends on the version ur using 32 / 64 bit.. vista or vista with SP 1?

are you running rapture from your main administrator account and your running 1.1. of it?

click on rapture in the synth and it will tell u the version. are you having any issues with LE also?

what other things on your system.. e.g. sound card etc. mode your using, read this and reply back

...could this be the problem with rapture?

Does the error message say "A fatal error has occurred..."? I reported a similar problem and Cakewalk's reply was as follows:

Only latencies above 90ms @ 44.1kHz will make this exception to appear, so this is an easy workaround. We'll also fix it in next Rapture release.

After switching to ASIO mode, the problem has never reoccurred.
