Doktor Avalanche Confirm RP states 2.00.2.541. Thanks.
Sorry, I don't know what you're saying. Is it that the bug has a scheduled release slot for a fix? Thanks.
I believe he would mean confirm the version number of RPro that you are running to ensure you are indeed running the latest

azslow3 I see it as the first usable version. It loads (no crashes so far) and it loads fast.
That actually describes the original release for me.
Not actually a ' useability' issue, but just out of curiosity, what about wild variations in volume between patches and patches being barely audible etc ? and this was with the Rap Pro factory content, the only note I can find involves 'Pattern Synth - Bass Finale Seq JJ' I had it noted as barely audible, there were more, but I may not have noted them down or can't find where. I no longer have Rap PRo installed, I moved on, and don't really intend on reinstalling it after the state it was released in. As to ' useable', yes it was ' useable', but even a car wrecked and written off is still ' useable' for spare parts

Rapture Pro still stops working(it stops making sound, but doesn't crash outright) if I change octave on my keyboard(it transmits a SysEx message which Rapture Pro should not respond to). Not usable for me. I change octaves often, and this is not acceptable. No other software has this problem.

Historically all cakewalk sfz engine synths stop making sound when unexpected data is sent to the synth. It needs to be filtered from the data stream before it hits the synth. If the hardware cannot handle the task, then it is down to the host or some other software to filter the MIDI data steam.

Ah, of course. Yes, it is the very latest version: 2.0.2.541. Also, the Cubase version it was tested with was the latest (very stable) iteration of Cubase 7.5.

There is a content update in the works (no specifics on when exactly yet) that should help with the volume fluctuation between programs. The programs that install with the core Rapture Pro installer have already been updated to reflect this. We're still working on improving Rapture Pro even further, but after the first two updates, there have been a lot of additional features and improvements both visible and under the hood.

Good news hope my points that I made earlier get discussed in triage meetings. Quicker this is done the better though as there are still Z3TA+2 issues to fix I hope this gets factored into the grand scheme of things (this will help bring back consumer confidence imho). Anyway at least you've supplied something that is now working thanks, hopefully lessons will be learned. Again thanks.

Logging is turned off by default in update 2. You need to make sure this is turned on in the Options menu. Then, based on where you have installed Cakewalk Content to (default is C:\Cakewalk Content), you'll find Rapture Pro\Logs therein. The path Rapture Pro looks for samples is set each time you run the installer. It's likely you have something crossed from the previous install, which is a simple fix, but if you're struggling, this kind of issue can be readily fixed by e-mailing or calling our Support team, who can take a closer look at your individual system.

There are samples still missing from the 2.00.2.541 version of Rapture Pro. They include the following (so far) from the Dimension Pro Factory Library: Db_155_* Db_160_* Db_165_* Db_170_* Totaling 41 missing samples.

I waited for 2.00.2 before buying. I installed from Command Center today using all default locations. I already had Dimension Pro and Rapture installed. Here's what I'm seeing: 1. RP appears under VSTi in Cakewalk Plugin Manager, but not in the list of instruments under VST2, so I have to use the VST3 version. I'd prefer to use VST2. I haven't created any custom layout files. 2. I had Command Center install all expansion packs, but none of them appear in the UI. The Expansion Pack bank is empty except for the word "User." I've reinstalled some of them using the downloaded exes, but still no luck. For example, searching for "pianet" finds one entry -- "Delicate Pianet FS." 3. Load times are reasonable, and I've only found one silent patch so far -- Timbre Shift Piano JJ. I suppose if I spend a few hours reading all the posts, starting in April and May, about the second problem I'll find some information. Meanwhile I'm open to suggestions. Also open to suggestions about how to make RP appear under VST2 Instruments. Mitch I.

No mention of which DAW but from your previous posts I am guessing SONAR. Check Preferences > File > VST Settings "VST Mirgation" settings. Searches are performed in the current bank. Are you saying you only have two banks "Rapture Pro - Factory Libarary" and "Expansion Pack - User?"

Scook, I'm running Sonar Platinum under Windows 7. Thanks for reminding me about the VST Migration setting. I unchecked "Hide Related VST2 Plugins," and that solved my first problem. Now RP appears in the VST2 Instrument list. My RP banks are Rapture Pro Dimension Pro Factory Library Dimension Pro User Imported Rapture Classic Factory Library Rapture Classic User Imported Expansion Pack (empty) It doesn't seem to me that searches are performed in the current bank. Here's why I think that: No matter which bank I select, a search for "pianet" brings up the same entry, which only appears in Rapture Pro. BTW the results of this search: C:\Cakewalk Content>dir pianet*.* /s |more resulted in five sfz files and a lot of wav files. Not sure if that's relevant. Mitch I.

I misspoke about the search. RPro search all banks but displays the results of the first bank found. Here is what I get when searching for pianet: It shows one program in Rapture Pro and the "Rapture Classic - User Imported" bank also contains some programs. When I open the "Rapture Classic - User Imported" bank the Muz3um package contains keys, pads and sequences containing the search string. The image below shows the result of clicking the Rapture Classic bank and keys type: One of the sfz files and some of waves found in your search of the Cakewalk Content directory are used by the Rapture Pro pianet program, the rest could be used in other programs which do not have pianet in their names. A Rapture Pro program can contain up to 6 sfz files. An sfz file can reference any number of samples.

So I poked around a little bit and found pianet sfzs in the RPro bank: Type > Program ------------------- Atmospheric > Trail of Doom2JAL Electric Guitars > Guitarmosphere Electric Pianos > Delicate Pianet FS Electric Pianos > Mellow EP 1 Electric Pianos > Mellow EP Light Electric Pianos > Soft EP 2 Electric Pianos > Soft EP This is not a complete list. I have not finished compiling a program contents list.

That helps clarify things. But I don't have the Muz3um folder anywhere. In fact, these searches C:\>dir muz3um /s C:\>dir muz3um*.* /s give no results. Should I have that folder as part of the expansion packs? Mitch I.

I probably downloaded Muz3um directly from patcharena. It may not be part of the factory distribution. There are a few other interesting things there. My Rapture installation goes back to the initial release and has quite a few add-ons and customizations.

Muz3um is a freebie that goes back to the original Rapture as far as I remember. I just checked and I have a muz3um.zip file in my Cakewalk archives. There's also a Muz3um file for my old VSampler 3. Now that's going back 10 years or so.

Originally muz3um was a free z3ta+ add-on and predates Rapture. A version for Rapture was developed and put up on patcharena. I know z3ta+2 includes muz3em but I am pretty sure it has never been part of the standard Rapture install. The separate zip is the tell. To this day no expansion packs are included with Rapture. They are separate downloads. I do not believe muz3um for Rapture is available on the CW site anywhere.

Well Hell has frozen over, and I'm back in the saddle, reinstalled Rapture Pro, and of course the latest update, glad to see that all the legacy content now loads, Galbanum Piscis was the only outstanding one for me, load times are improved, although that wasn't a great problem for me personally, and good to know that the volume variations and silent/barely audible factory content looks like it will be sorted out. Lets hope it soon gets to where it should have been at release, and then beyond.

I just finished comparing the contents of the expansion-pack exes with the contents of Rapture2Programs.xml, and I concluded that my RP install has all the programs it should have. So both of my issues are resolved. But I wonder if I'm missing something about the search function and the apparent inability to search across banks. It seems that the bank-based organization of RP is historical rather than practical. I have Dimension Pro and Rapture installed, but when I'm using RP, I don't care where the programs came from. It would be nice, for example, to see a list of all pads programs or all keys programs. Mitch I.

You can adjust the location of the programs any way you wish. I would suggest performing the exercise in a separate folder. The factory content is already broken out by type so copying and merging those folders is a snap. For expansion packs and user content, you are on your own. I would also suggest going forward make separate threads rather than appending this this thread. The subjects are easier to find later when someone is searching for solutions.

I found the sample files for the aforementioned programs. They are REX .RX2 files located in: C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Sample Data\Rapture Pro\Multisamples\72 - REX Drum Loops\Drum n Bass Breaks Unfortunately, Rapture Pro 2.00.2.541 will not load these (at least) .RX2 files into the OSC/SMP section. You can select the .RX2 file, but it is not loaded: It's ignored and there are no errors, or crashes experienced. Note: I'm running under Windows 10 build 10240.

I discovered the problem! The Rapture Pro 2.00.2.541 executable (standalone application) will not load . RX2 files. I resorted to installing the full Sonar Platinum Suite for testing and noted the . RX2 files loaded and played in both the Rapture Pro VSTi and sample render via drag-n-drop to an audio track. Cakewalk, please fix this.

Cakewalk, is a Rapture Pro fix-release going to happen at some point? The problem of non-working key-tracking when hosted under Cubase was not resolved in the last release. I filed a bug report some weeks ago. Is a fix in the pipeline?

I can repeat it every time. I experimented with some of the other controls on my Indigo 2 and it had the same result. The controls that just send MIDI CC messages don't cause it to freeze.
