Rapture Pro - Pitch Step generator issue

Hi guys

Can someone who owns Rapture Pro please verify this behaviour.

I am not able to program a step sequence to use for the pitch step generator using a MIDI keyboard.
I click on the the modulation menu and select "MIDI Note Entry(C4 = Base)".  From what I understand, this should make Rapture Pro ready to receive notes.  However, pressing keys (from C4 up) plays the note, but does not put that note's entry in the pitch step generator. This is described on page 74 of the user guide.
 
I can do this successfully in Rapture but the same procedure does not work in Rapture Pro.

This might be a candidate for a bug report

    I could not get the menu element to 'check' on. I gave all keystrokes to Rapture Pro as well but that didn't help.
    I could not get MIDI key entry and I'm note sure what MIDI C4 is - sometimes that is note 60, other times it's called C3. So I tried them all.
     
    I could not figure out how to make this work.
