Rapture Pro offline activation?
Rapture Pro activation?. Sonar Platinum can be installed on an offline computer and activated. Rapture Pro can be installed on an offline computer, but how do you activate it?. I can only find references to Command Centre activation. Is this a oversight to be corrected?.

This doesn't help the OP, but demonstrates a different scenario that requires the ability to properly register the software
I installed online, but outside of CCC. When I ran RapPro I got the Demo message. After searching for a way to activate, I finally started the installer inside of CCC. I got frustrated that CCC was going to redownload everything that had already been downloaded, so I exited CCC canceling the download.
Apparently that was enough as RapPro is now registered ... I'm going to refrain from colorful characterizations.

aries - in case it's not obvious, this was moved out of Problem Reports because it's not been vaerified and entered into the Problem Report tool. If you enter it and add the assigned number to the beginning of the subject line, it should get moved back to problem reports.

It's not exactly a fault or bug with Rapture Pro, just an issue with installation. I know that seems pedantic, but the Problem Reports is intended for the Cakewalk QA guys to check out bugs that stop the programs working as intended. Hopefully they'll sort out offline activation quickly.

Does this mean offline activation is to be implemented in the next week or so?. So allowing everyone with offline DAW's to use this upgrade. This happened with Arturia and their recent change in activation.

I waited for the installers to go again after I had downloaded and installed each package manually and found out about CCC. Why offer downloads then, if you can't do anything with them on a Mac?
In your video you show Sonar being launched from CCC.
There is no way to "launch" Rapture Pro (an AudioUnit) from within Command Center.
Using it on a DAW will throw the "Running in Demo Mode" message and that is that.
You wrote CCC to have it launching processes you can trust (online).
How do you expected to have it working from within a DAW?
Also, I get two red lights in packages that are actually installed. What gives?
I can enter this as a bug when I find where to do this.
Not happy to have spend this much time to install and try to use this produce.

I reinstalled those via CCC and they still show the red-lights. Honestly I'm giving up. Not worth it.

Cakewalk replys to me today that only computer with internet connection are able to activate Rapture Pro. No chance to get Rapture Pro activated on "offline" computers/DAW :-(
That's the most bloody stupid **** for us prof. producers/customers!!! Come on, what century does we have?
Very disappointing Cakewalk!!!!!!

In an earlier century, online authentication would not have been an option. In this century, it will be probably occurring with more frequency. Pretty sure the requirement is noted as the bottom of the Rapture Pro page http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/Rapture

For example, at NI, IK Multimedia and a lot more you can read also in the requirements "internet for activation" required, but in these cases you can do the activation on a seperate "online" computer and transfer the activation file to the offline DAW (or to iLok and co).
So, I think this online only activation is a deterioration!

This is what I thought would happen. I never gave it a second thought. Surely CW would never take the route of XLN (who has never received any of my money) and make it "mandatory" to be connected to the internet to use the product. A month later, not a word. Not good. :(

It's August the 26th and also no offline activation for Rapture 1.2.2. There is this field that requires the registration code, which I as Platinum buyer of course have, but there's no way to get it active. Instead I'm asked to phone somewhere. That makes no sense!

Rapture 1.2.2 has nothing to do with Rapture Pro. They are different products with different activation methods. Try running the Rapture stand alone as administrator. It should also accept the registration data when SONAR is run as administrator.

The stand alone is typically installed with the dll. The default path is "c:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Rapture\Rapture x64.dll"
FWIW, you will need to do the same to activate Dimension Pro.
