This is (going to be) cool. Unfortunately, the first Rapture tip up reinforces the error in the manual. The entire Scala library of tunings is included with Rapture, not a select 200. This could be a good thing, though. More people might go to the Scala home page for background information that way. There's just no need for the scala.zip download.

I'm working on extra presets for Rapture all the time. Slowly building up a small library...Maybe I'll try to get them out as a freebie download for all the Rapture users. ;)

Is there a possibility of some sort of WIKI site or central repository that we can pass along .prog files and such? Has anyone thought about this?

Yea, I already have half a dozen or so - don't know if anyone else would be interested in them. Mostly, they are just some frankenstein stuff I'm working on. But I can do a dump at some point if anyone is interested.

We are currently discussing a strategy to allow users to upload and share patches with each other on a central database. I can't say when this might happen, but it is being discussed I assure you. Stay tuned...

And from what I've seen here, I can assure you of this: Brandon's not just blowing smoke. I've yet to see a statement like this from him that hasn't been pursued to its logical conclusion. Thanks, Brandon.

Yes, that would be nice. I mean, 500+ presets just doesn't cut it (insert smily face!). But Rapture seems to cover a lot of sonic ground. It would be nice to see what everybody comes up.

Thanks Brandon. Look forward to sharing.

I hope this strategy includes Dimension (Pro), z3ta+, Pentagon I, PSYN II, on and on....(including future offerings from the bakers) - you get the picture[sm=rolleyes.gif]...

Also would like to be able to upload/download some Patches/Device chains from Cakes' effects library (Spectral Tranformer, Arpeggiator, Syncron32...)

It would be really neat (did i just say "neat"?) if we could access this "library" with a direct link from inside Project 5 under Help in the File menu (BTW, This link Project 5 owners page under the help in the Project 5 program menu returns a 404 page not found error...)

I'm sure looking forward to this, Thanks Brandon.

MDK; Have you ever checked out patch arena? The Pentagon, z3ta are well representd I hear. As for Dimension Pro because the sample sets can range into the 100's of mb you are looking at major bandwidth. And yet some Dimension Pro sounds are very small. There is a soundfont list at the rgcaudio site over at KvR. These are downloadable sounds but you must convert them from SF to SFZ. I hear the free SFZed can do conversions.

Speaking of which, Larry, I got your email. I'll stick up a link to thoses patches on the weekend when I'm not yelling at 13 Y/O's for using guitars as cricket bats or trying to tell 18 Y/O's that the evolution of music didn't stop after Master of Pupppets came out.

Well, Since Brandon Ryan came out and spoke to the posting of patches we might at some point be able to share at this site. With restrictions of course (keep it clean and tidy boys, and on the level). And you can rest at ease here Dale, There is no hurry. I've churned out a dozen since I sent that along ;)+) Well to be more specific, I've made files I wish to test out. Some I'll keep, some I'll toss. There is always that initial flurry of experiments when I get a new softie. B-ROCK will soon post his master work on LFO's. This will of course be snapped up with glee by most here. I AM on that list to be sure, the power of Rapture and too many LFO's to count keeps my head spinning. Rapture lends itself so well to these experiments. I think this is just the berries. The one synth you must have regardless. But I seem to remember it was almost an unanimous consensus here that once it got to our door we would be amazed and delighted. Why, well, I've have never suffered any disappointment whatsoever with Rene's synths. It's a given, he always delivers.

Heck Yeah Larry, Got all the good stuff locked in and backed up to cd/dvd and removable drives, and I'm usin' 'em

But I would like to make things easier for the new guy/girl and anything that makes P5 more user friendly is uberkewl in my book....

Thanks for the vote of confidence b man. Tis true...we are trying to come up with something as soon as possible. Just need to work out the logistics so that it is well organized and maybe we can allow sharing of more than just Rapture patches

Indeed. And I want to thank all of you for your interest and passion on this subject. I for one am also very intersted to see what twisted sonic mutants you guys come up with.
