Rapture and Sonar 5 x64

I just purchased Rapture and installed it on my x64 DAW. Apparently it cannot be used with x64. The release notes say:

Rapture cannot be authorized using SONAR x64
You must update to SONAR 5.0.2 in order to authorize and run Rapture x64 DXi. Click here for SONAR support information.

Rapture VSTi does not work with SONAR x64
Rapture VSTi does not work in SONAR x64. Please use Rapture x64 DXi instead.

I now have Rapture and Dimension Pro and cannot use either. Thanks Cakewalk.

Rapture x64 DXi does not work with Sonar x64! That's the Catch 22. Apparently it requires SONAR 5.0.2 which does not appear to be available yet. Therefore, for a Sonar x64 user you can't use Rapture in either DXi or VST mode - can't use it period with x64. Furthermore, until the Dimension Pro update is available you can't use it with Sonar x64 either. My conclusion is that there are no x64 V Synths on the market that work. It appears that Cakewalk will be the first when they issue updates for Sonar to work with Rapture and when they issue updates for Dimansion Pro. Until then we must wait patiently.

While I applaud Cakewalk for their industry leadership position in supporting x64 I am a little peaved by the misinformation and confusion that could mislead a V Synth customer to actually purchase any of these products now with the expectation that they will actually work.

We're sorry for your frustration. The SONAR 5.2 update (available later this week) will resolve the Authorizer and BitBridge x64 issues. Dimension Pro 1.2 will be available this week too.

Jesse Jost, I think it would be wise to speak with the powers that be,.. before making announcments.

Now you have to calm Naughty Hill down because he's jumping for joy. It's OK Naughty, you still have Project 5 to hold you over unitl the update is ready.
