Rapture fix

Is there any sign of it yet? I'm waiting it out. I was a download installer of X2. I had it up and running. I installed the quick fix ( though honestly there was nothing wrong). Next time I opened X2, Rapture came up asking to be registered. When I put the Serial # in, it came up saying wrong # - demo mode time is running.  Now Rapture crashes X2 every time I play it w/ my keyboard. I can take it out of the synth rack, and all is well. Hopefully soon.

When you originally installed X2, did you install Rapture as well? And did you use the latest reg and serial numbers found in your account?

I did and I did. It wouldn'y take the new #s, then I went back to the original rapture 1.21 and it worked w/ the old #s. I was hoping the 308 patch would right the Rapture ship, but no love.

if you do a search for Rapture on here I think there is one particular post that has some registry tweaks that may help. I've not tried them myself because I managed to get Rapture working on my install.

    cheers

You should have a stand alone version of Rapture under your start menu.

Run it AS ADMINISTRATOR and try re-entering your serial/reg numbers again.

Close Sonar before doing this obviously.

That sounds cool Jonesey, should it be there (start /all programs) in its own merit or included in a folder of another name?
    Thanks

Andy= Did you happen to get lucky with the install, you just say it worked without reg. tweaking, which we all try to avoid! Any voodoo, or magic, you can share, or did it just work? 3-5 days, my discs will be here, and I know I will have trouble with this, because, I happened to get Dim. Pro to 1.5 in 8.5.3, which caused problems in X1...what a mess, thanks!

The reg tweak really isn't all that bad. Not that a better fix isn't in order eventually. I was a little bit apprehensive about it, worked out ok here. I only had Rapture LE installed and I always boot up as administrator so I didn't have any of the serial number problems. I had a problem with the initial install itself.

I'm one of those people that had/have a different Rapture problem... I have no stand alone Rapture. I've had Rapture LE since 8.5 I think.  When I upgraded to X1d, I still had Rapture LE. After upgrading to X2, I STILL have Rapture LE only. There was never any prompt or directions during the install of X2 that mentioned the full version of Rapture. I can load up Rapture LE (64x) without any problems in X2. Everything else with the X2 installation went perfectly.  I haven't tried doing a new install because everything else has been working so well I don't want to take the chance of screwing something up.  It's not a huge issue for me because I never really used Rapture, but now I'm thinking with the full  version there may be more content that would be relevant to me.

Anyone else have this same problem? The other thread seemed to concentrate more on registration issues for people that actually have the full version installed.

    Best,
    Rob

Thanks Ryan! So should I just run the discs, leaving out Dim. Pro, and Rapture, wait until finished, and then install Rapture from the patch, since I already have Dim. Pro 1.5, but only Rapture LE? Seems like it should work, if not, please someone let me know, I still a few days before discs arrive. Thanks again!!!
