Rapture freeze synth problems

Sonar 8.5.3, Windows 7 64-bit, Rapture full - just bought and downloaded, so I assume it's 1.2, though I cannot find where the version number is. I would think the latest download version has the 1.2.1 hot fix, although I can find nothing that says so.  Also, my house sample rate is 48k, so I guess Rapture is upsampling automatically.

I have written a piece of music, now about 10-minutes long.  It contains two instances of Rapture and four instances of Garritan Personal Orchestra 4  Aria player.  I tried to freeze the synths - all of the Aria synths froze with no problem.  Each of the Raptures would get about 75% finished then lock up and finally crash the program.

Any ideas what is wrong?

    Are you using Rapture 64bit?  If so, that's probably the problem.  Unfortunately most of us are having issues with the 64bit.  I haven't tried freezing it myself, but mine crashes consistently if I play back a track recorded with Rapture 64.  I've seen a handful of people claim that they have no issues with Rapture, but a lot more people saying that there are problems. 

    You should be able to get it working if you uninstall the x64 and install the 32-bit instead.  It will use bitbridge, but I believe SONAR will find it without you having to do any manual configuration or searching.

    Are you using Rapture 64bit? 


    Yes, I'm using 64-bit.  I'll give the 32bit a try. Thanks.

    To round out the thread - I removed Rapture 64-bit and installed Rapture 32-bit  It seems to work fine now.
