Ya, the Early Access download from Command Centre worked for me . . . but it's usually highlighted as a rollback in bold orange text. No bold orange text this time ? . . . but the download/install worked OK for me.

New question ... The SONAR 2017.03 early release notes mentions new features for "UWP MIDI Engine & Bluetooth MIDI Support." Will these new SONAR features run on Windows 7 and 8.1? The MS literature I've seen implies that the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) is only deployed on Windows 10. - Tom

There will be ripple editing. But a lot of people have been clamoring for a PRV overhaul too. It would make sense to update the elements that "touch" ripple editing before finalizing ripple editing.

I was actually blown away when I read that this ER update included single view controller panes..... Single view controller panes is something I have been after for ages.
These new "out of the blue" features make me even more ok with the delay on the ripple editing. I know that coding required for ripple editing would not be a (cake)walk in the park. This is a case of "Patience grasshopper"

So, I don't get this: "New Collapse button for Controller Pane: The Controller Pane now features it’s own collapse and expand button similar to the Bus Pane. This can be opened or closed by simply clicking the button or using the shortcut [Ctrl] + [C] when the Piano Roll view is in focused." Isn't "Ctrl + C" the fundamental Windows keyboard Copy command ? When I have the Piano Roll in focus, Ctrl + C does nothing . . . are we supposed to show/hide the controller view by re-mapping this keyboard shortcut, thereby losing the Windows Copy keyboard shortcut inside Sonar ? Yes, clicking the new button in PRV view to show/hide the Controller Pane works, but what is the correct keyboard shortcut I am missing here ?

On my Sonar Platinum 2017.3 Early release ALT-C closes the controller lane when the Piano Roll view is in focused . Looks like a booboo in the docs.

Thanks promidi . . . Alt-C did not work for me initially, but I was able to map that in the keyboard shortcut preferences to get it to work. Hmmm

Same here 10. Glad were in the same boat I understand some peoples frustration. But I've been pretty happy to see some of these long standing issues fixed and this new PRV update is awesome. Been waiting a long time for fixes to the PRV.

The latest release is pretty solid. As you can imagine this was a major change, so I think it was smart to allow for a couple passes at early access to get community input. These changes make a HUGE difference!! Check them out and roll back if necessary...but at this point you probably won't need to.

Improvements are excellent and the update feels very solid.
I do see they have a bug being attended to regarding saving with open PRV window. I have not encountered that here and it's expected to be fixed post haste....
Thumbs up from Deep Space for sure.........!

According to the release notes, two sets of sharp/flat notes are supposed to be different colors or shades of a color. Unless I've suddenly gone colorblind, I don't see any difference in the shades for Gb, Ab, Bb, and Db, Eb. Am I missing something?
Lee Shapirowww.soundclick.com/leeshapiro Welcome BandLab and thank you for giving Cakewalk and Sonar a new lease on life.
