Hi there Ryan
The
Guitar Tracks software bundled with your VS-20 is on the VS-20 Installation Disc.
First insert the disc into your PC, and cancel any auto-run prompt to run the software that appears. However, if one of the options in Autoplay is
Open Folder to View Files, select that.
If you do not get an Autoplay prompt, open (My) Computer and double click on the disc drive into which you've placed the installation.
The contents of the disc will now be displayed. Open the
Guitar Tracks folder and double click on
Setup.exe to start installing the program:
To register the
Guitar Tracks 4 software (and thereby remove the 30 day limit on its use), you first need to have registered your VS-20 at Cakewalk.
When you install the GT4 software as above, you'll need the serial number that's on the back of the installation disc envelope (it's the same number used to run the VS-20 software installation). When you wish to register GT4, you'll need to copy the registration number of your VS-20 from your Account at Cakewalk. This registration number is common to both programs (as with the serial number).
Finally, to be able to register GT4, you will need to run the program (for the first time only) as an Administrator on your computer, otherwise the registration field will be greyed out.
