Ready to jump from Sonar 6 to X1 (now what?)

Have 6 installed on my Windows 7 machine and have a few questions :

1. Do i unistall 6 then install X1 ?

2. Downloaded all 14 sections of X1 from website to a external hard drive , do i click on each one and will it prompt me to install?

3.What about these upgrades i've been hearing about , should i install them as soon as i install X1?

Thank you and any other info i might need please feel free to direct me .

You don't have to uninstall 6.  X1 will sit side by side with any previous version.  Click on any download that is an application and it should install.  Upgrade to version X1b at least and see how it works for you.  X1c is coming out in August which will include all the various upgrades.  Good luck and hope you enjoy.

    All the best,

    Katrice,

There have been reports of X1 causing problems with previous versions of Sonar on the same PC. I have experienced it myself.

Make sure you make an image of your hard drive so you have something you know works 100% to back to if problems arise.

    Good Luck.

    P.S.

You have good timing. The X1C patch that fixes a ton of bugs is due to be released any day. Yay!
