Not sure if this is the right forum.  But does anyone know how to get realistic windsounds (like one might hear on the cliffs of dover?)

The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.

Go by a cliff on a windy day with a field recorder. That should be realistic. Or generate white noise and superimpose different pitches and blend them.
