Really excited today..

I came to work and get things lined out and then....I'm outta here!
FREEDOM for six days!! With a celebration day thrown in!...burp...

    Well......I reckon it depends on how you define freedom. Although our country may not be
    dependant on another to be governed it doesn't mean the countries citizens are free.
    Corporate America will damn sure put that realization in ones head....and I'm beginning to
    think they run our country anyway.

     I'll have some time off too but I can't say it is all free. Even when I'm free I'm not free. Hope you enjoy it!

    I sure understand my "chains that bind me" and don't complain.
    I sure understand my freedoms and celebrate - give thanks everyday.

    But when I have time away from all major commitments and responsibilities it
    is indeed an excitement for me.

    About ten years ago my job duties no longer required shift work or 24 hr on call.
    I put in my 40 now and get what's left.

    Unlike many countries- for those living outside the US- we don't get much time off
    comparably speaking. Many in the work force cash-in their vacation time so they can
    have the extra money. Now many companies have changed that and the employees
    must take their vacation time. Not many companies let the employee carry vacation 
    time over- meaning; use it or lose it. They believe it helps the employee be a safer worker with a better attitude.

    Well I have to agree lol....I have a great attitude just knowing today is Friday and I'm
    being very safe while I await freedom time..errr..quitting time.

    Also looking forward to celebrating our Independence Day while wishing us all a great one.
