Really wanted to share this with my fellow Sonar users

I've just had a track of mine reviewed in Recording Magazine. The track was recorded and mixed in Sonar X2. In the review is the list of recording gear etc.

We don't get much recognition regarding the use of SONAR. In fact I get people regularly looking down their noses at me when I mention that I use SONAR by choice.

That's kind of why I wanted to share this bit of good news.

I submitted the track awhile ago and completely forgot about it. I received notification last night that the song had been reviewed.

Really chuffed.

 Cheers,

Peter.

Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found.

    ?

EDIT: I really like the drummer/percussionist by the way. And where is the video of the guy playing Rhodes? :p

Thanks Sanderxpander. I think the link works now. The guy "playing" the Rhodes is me and I have to stress that I'm not a piano player so if there was any video of me "playing" the Rhodes it would have been painful.

    Cheers,

Haha I wouldn't like to post vids of me playing guitar either ;)
You blended it in nicely so I didn't really notice it until the end when the guitars left room for it, and I just thought "hey I didn't see a keyboard player at all!" :)

    Very Well Done! Cool review!
I agree with you with some of the looks you can get.
The track is great, I really like the guitaring and dynamics adds a nice touch.
    Good sound and mix!
    Excellent drums too!

Wow... I like that!  Everything sounds "right".

And although it's not a pop tune, the main melody is still a bit catchy.  Nicely done.

Thanks to everyone else for taking the time to check it out and to listen/watch the video.

I belong to other recording forums and the feelings over there is "not bad at all - especially if you managed to achieve that using SONAR" ???????

Wow, I never realised that SONAR is considered by so many to be "sub standard".

Anyway, I just look at it as their loss...

    Cheers,
