I Am recertified! My rent is NOW less than it was last year. Think about that one for a second

I should have had a video camera at our 1st meeting in their office
It took a State Senator, State Representative, a meeting with HUD officials in Washington D.C., and lawyers to correct this situation
If it wasn't for my sister and a group of outsiders getting involved nothing would have changed. This means that I would have been from place to place because I couldn't afford housing. I'm a disabled Veteran.

Excellent News Bill!!
It's sad to see such a lack of charity/compassion in people nowadays where you had to get so many "officials" involved in this........just so you can stay at your current place. Our veterans need to be treated much better than this....

Great news, just goes to show you should never give up. It's kind of like when you call customer services and they tell you that something is "absolutely impossible" and after making a nuisance of yourself and demanding to speak to higher ups, then suddenly the impossible becomes the possible.

Rents in NYC are freaktacular. I'm one of those lucky so and so's who is grandfathered into a cheap apartment, I pay only $900 a month to live in Manhattan. Funny thing was that my rent used to be a little higher, and one day the landlord called me to his place to "discuss a new lease." Uh oh, I thought, here comes a rent increase. 30 minutes later I'd somehow managed to talk myself into a rent reduction. Still trying to work out how I managed that one.

No its just one of those things. My amateur analysis of the phenomenon is that there's a lot of passive aggression in the air force. The other branches no the meaning of brotherhood, and respect for others' that's lacking in the air force people I've met.

WHAT???? can anybody translate this? AFA Air Force, I was a civilian Contractor for ATT stystems in Germany and worked the AF and Army bases, and found all personal to be friendly and respectful of their fellow military members.

OK, I just found out that I Am NOW paying a fraction of what my rent used to be? If that is so, then why was my rent so much higher before? Nothing has changed! I DIDN'T GET ANYMORE MONEY THEN THAN I DO NOW! AND SINCE I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO PAY THEM BACKPAY FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS THEN WHY DON'T THEY HAVE TO PAY ME BACK FOR THE THE PAST 5 YEARS!!! THOSE DIRTY BASTAGES!!!
