Record arm "times out"

When I activate the record arm button in the track, if I don't use it for a few minutes it will stay "red" but the input signal is no longer displayed by the track meter.  I have to disarm/rearm then all is well.   Is this by design? Why it would be I can't imagine but stranger things have happened.  I never noticed it prior to X1.

Does the signal actually get recorded? It sounds like the meter itself    died for a moment.

    junedrive:

    Two things:

    1) According to your signature, you're running X1B. Update to X1c or X1 Expanded.

    2) What audio interface are you using?

osd and Thomasabarnes thanks for your help.  I have X1c and the interface is an ESI wamirack 192x.  But here's what I just noticed and it may be perfectly normal, don't know.  When I arm the track the meter displays the input signal.  If it hit play or record all works. When I stop, the input meter no longer displays in that armed track while transport is at rest. If I hit play or record meter functions and all works fine.  If I disarm and rearm the track record the meter is reactivated at rest.  Not a real heavy user, so I may be describing perfectly normal behavior, could have been there all along and just never noticed.  Not sure why it would be designed so.  Either way I can sure live with it.  I thought it was disappearing with no rhyme or reason.

That does sound like normal behavior.

Also, you may want to update your sonar version in your signature to "c".

That does sound like normal behavior.

However, if you have the input echo button enabled on the track that's Armed, the signal should always show on the track meter.
