Record delay?
Since a couple of upgrades ago I've noticed my analog tracks recording a bar or two late in the mix. All is started on time it just seems to have been pushed back a bar or two. (the actual time frame is never consistent). At first I didn't worry about it as I surmised it to be user error but it continues to happen more frequently. Not saying that my error is not more frequent, just wondering if anyone has also experienced this and maybe has noted a fix?

Seems like it may be a delay compensation issue. I would suggest closing Sonar, moving the AUD.INI file to a folder that Sonar can't see and restarting Sonar. Go into preferences and reselect your audio/midi interface.
I'm assuming you are using ASIO. If not, you'll need to profile your interface in Sonar.

Yes, ASIO in use, using windows 10, haven't seen an AUD.INI file in a while but I'll look and see.

Switch to WDM mode and run the audio profiler. Then swicth back to ASIO Note the reported latency etc. Run a loop back test and see if your tracks line up. http://forum.cakewalk.com/Lets-all-TEST-our-Interface-driver-for-offset-m3178396.aspx?high=loop+back+test Also adding certain plug ins while tracking can throw the latency calulation off, so I always track with those bins by passed. Are you saying a whole measure or a few ms? If it's a whole measure then it's not the offset, but it's still good to test it.

Haven't checked recently but recall a case where the clip start time would be offset by the count-in setting when loop recording audio.

Yes, this sounds like ye olde count-in offset issue. This seems to affect only some systems some of the time. I've never seen it, myself. If you haven't changed interfaces or other hardware recently, try a reboot or starting a new project from scratch. Otherwise the only solution is to disable count-in.

I had that problem back in X1 or X2 (don't remember). It was the count-in that was causing it.
