Record to mono or Stereo

I create a midi track and drive a motif rack.
While recording the output of motif should I record to a mono or as a stereo track?
Please advise.
Regards

It depends on what I am recording.

If, for instance, I am recording a single output from my JP-8000, which is therefore mono anyway, then I record in mono.

If I am recording a piece of my hardware that has stereo effects then I record in stereo.

    cheers

If the source is mono record in mono. If the source is stereo record in stereo. Its not rocket science.
