Recorded 3 Vocal Tracks. Just Cut and Paste Into One or Better Way in SHS7XL?

Hello Everyone,
    I recorded 3 Vocal Takes for a New Song. To Keep it simple I decided to keep the beginning of Take 1, the middle of Take 2, and the end of Take 3.

   Would you just cut and paste the parts of the 3 Tracks I want to keep into a new Vocal Track. Or would it be better to just use the mixer to set the volume of each track to zero, except for the parts of each track I want to keep. Or just cut each track except for the parts I want to keep.

   And if I try the cut option. How do you cut parts of a track, without the parts you leave moving over? I would want the parts of the tracks I keep to not move.

   I usually just do multiple takes till I get an entire take I like , but in this case since I was improvising parts of each track, thought I should learn to make one track from different takes, something I have never done in SHS.

1. You can use the Split tool to slice the tracks into clips then delete the parts you don't want. Nothing should "move over". Click each clip you don't want in each track while holding down the computer keyboard's Ctrl key to select them all. Right-click one of the selected clips and go to Edit>Delete.
2. Or select the track you want to edit, drag the cursor across the Time Line above the part you don't want. The Time Line will change color showing the part that you selected. Then hit the computer keyboard's Delete key.
3. Or insert a volume envelope in each track to lower the volume of the unwanted parts where you want to hear the desired parts.
For 1 and 2, you can then select each track by clicking on the track number. The clips should turn color indicating they've been selected. Scroll through the project to ensure all the wanted clips are selected.
Then go to Edit>Bounce To Track(s). That will put all the clips from the different tracks into one contiguous clip in a new track. Delete the audio in the old tracks, if you want.
None of these edits are permanent unless you save the project after editing.

I would not delete anything during the first steps. You might change your mind, or want to use some part as a double os something.
I would just split the clips accordingly and Ctrl+drag (= copy) the usable takes to another track.

I bet it's much, much faster than putting volume envelopes on three different tracks.

I do all my vocals from at least a dozen of different takes.
