Recorded audio playback speed?

Hi - I´m new here, so excuse me if I place this thread wrong.

Just started with Creator 6 and my issue is that recorded audio(DAT tape 16 bit 48khz) plays back in Creator at a slower speed than actual.
I have not messed with any parameters and it´s on 100.00% rate.
Any suggestions - tips on how to fix this?

Most thankfull for help

All best to you all!

I think it has something to do with the sampling rate of the track not matching the default sampling rate that is currently set in MC6.

check the sample rate MC6 is using to play back that 16/48k file.   Match the sample rates in MC to the actual rate and see if that fixes it.

I use 16 or 24 bits with a sampling rate of 44.1khz,,,,, so exporting is simple and easy.

you might want to try to convert the 48k track to 44.1k and see if that would work..... if not... you just have to be aware of the sample rate on any project you work on so that you don't end up with multiple rates in the same song.... that could be dicey.

Hi Guitarhacker and thanks a lot for input - I  found the sample menu and changed the MC  rate to 48 and now it works.
Guess I can downsample to 44.1 later in  the process.
Another thing is that I somehow managed to get the monitoring to work earlier, during recording, but for some reason it won´t now (nothing to do with the sampling though).

I have an old RME Digi96/8 card with opt I/O and coax I/O,(4 x stereo) and no problems with duplicity with other softwares before.
It runs with the ASIO drivers only.
If you have some idea about this - I appreciate.

    Thanks!

Echo input might help. Turn it on. It's in the track inspector with the other controls and settings.

Depending on the hardware setup you use and the sound card and how it works, that may also play a huge part in how you monitor.

Not everyone's system is set up to work the same way due to the various hardware we either use or don't use.  In my case the monitoring is easy and worked from day one so I have not thought about it much.

Try playing with the echo input setting on each track.

hey... thanks for dropping in and having a listen.

Here's the video.... you can "meet" Wolf through this video and know who he was.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DmLXESjGWs

At 5:50 in the video, when the music stops, that is a picture of me, my future bride, and Wolf (L to R) Of course, that was 30+ years ago.

Wolf introduced us.... and was a friend to us always. He loved BG music and held a festival every year at his place in the mountains of VA. He passed away after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.

Hi - could not get the clip to play at the moment, but I could see the pictures dragging the timeline and figure you guys would be about my age.
Like the hats! Psychedelic bluegrass? I love bluegrass and countryblues/rock.
Had so many friends going down that painful way -  better appreciate the time given and enjoy.
Will try later to watch that video.
The echo button made it  :)
    cheers
