Recording Guru in P5v2

I've searched previous GURU/Project 5 threads, and I still haven't found an answer to this yt. I bought the full version of GURU and installed it as a DXi. I love the stock sounds and had a ball playing with it, but I couldn't get P5 to record any of it on the track. I armed the recording as I do any other DXi, but nada.

Any suggestions?

I think it's shot vs trigger mode w/in GURU--where's that manual of mine. I'll get back to ya for sure but in general you can either trigger the pads or patterns via midi from w/in P5v2.

    have a good one

Well, that's the problem. I can paint notes in the P5 Pattern Editor. And off to the left, I see where they correspond to "Snare 1""Snare 2" and so on within Guru. But I don't hear any notes being triggered. I have loaded a kit within GURU and can trigger the notes within GURU by clicking pads. But when I minimize Guru and play the corresponding notes in P5....

    NOTHING.

Any other ideas? I appreciate the help.

    This may help.....

In project5, at the top of the track properties pane, select the correct "Port" and "MIDI Send to:" should read Channel 1. or whatever channel your controller is set to.

I have authentic analog drum machine samples.

    Unfortunately, that did nothing either.

It may help you to know that I am triggering notes and all strictly with my mouse right now. I don't have my Oxygen available at the moment.

But indeed, I have "MIDI Send to:" set to Channel one as well as the "All Ports" set to Channel one at the top of the properties for GURU. I can even see the notes in the Pattern Editor corresponding to the correct pads in GURU. Yet, no sound.

Any other ideas? I appreciate al of the help thus far.

That is strange. Try loading a project that worked before. Clear everything and save that as a template?

Each multi-out in P5v2 responds to engines 1-8 w/in GURU are they matched up and have you enable all outputs (R click in an space w/in the GURU track properties of P5v2)?

Can you replace GURU w/another synth and get playback?

Nevermind...I got it. The kits were only playing in preview mode in GURU. They weren't really loaded onto the pads even though the pads sounded each kick or snare sample as I clicked them.

Thanks, guys. Sorry for the confusion.
