Recording Issue

I am having an issue recording when using music creator 2.0. Whenever I record It sounds like it is being dubbed, like it is playing at 2x or even 4x the speed. Can someone please tell me how to turn or change it? I don't know what I may have done wrong. Please reply here thanks for your help.

you'll have to give us more details on your computer, your soundcard, your project sampling rate - as many details as you can.

Are you using a USB mic?
If so, set your driver mode to MME.
But answer Beagle's questions as well.
