Recording Percussive Guitar

Gday, I am trying to record some percussive compositions on a nylon string guitar and I'm having heaps of trouble with the mic setup. I'm using a Rode NT2 and NT1-A but cant work out how to position them so the tapping on the body doesn't peak but the melody lines and notes still come through. Does anyone have any suggestions? Cheers Geordie
