Recording audio help (SOLVED)

Just when I thought this weekend couldn't get any worse!! Get home Friday to find no Virgin TV or broadband until Monday - left with 1 bar of 3G on phone for internet -I've  now had a brain fart trying to record audio!!

Focusrite 8i6, mic connected, phantom power on, all OK. Can hear track out of L & R. Once recorded, when I play back, I get nothing out of R.

Switched Scarlett MixControl to mono. Again, all OK, can hear L & R. This time, playback OK, can hear L & R, except when I pan. Panning to L does nothing at all. Panning R and I get no sound out of either!

Please help!!!!!

Cheers

did you have record input set as stereo, and it's just plying back the stereo wave .ie left channel audio and right channel silence?
This would explain your panning issue aswell.

Try setting the input to mono

I did record in Stereo first, but second time did change MixControll over to Mono.

How's the track itself? The panning problem indicates you have recorded mono signal on a stereo track. Do you see a stereo track with audio on one side only?

No, they mean to select a mono input for the Track's Input parameter. More than likely you'll get a selection of inputs in the Input menu labeled L (left), R (right), and Stereo. Choose the L (left) input and SONAR will automatically set the track to mono.
