Recording cutts off

I am in a desperate need of help!!!! I just started using SONAR XL and whenever i record any track and press stop, i play it back and only half of my take is recorded!! I have no clue of what may be causing this and again i am new to the program but really need to get going with my music. SO IF ANYONE KNOWS THE CAUSE OF THIS AND CAN HELP ME TROUBLESHOOT THAT WOULD BE SUCH A GREAT HELP!!! THANK YOU

Just a shot in the dark, but make sure that auto-punch is not enabled. You should be using overwrite mode.
