Recording in 16bit, But V-vocal Creates 32bit files!

Ok so been attempting to use v-vocal for the past few days, the software works great, except for when i play the project back.
the sound stutters until eventually no sound is played at all. Spent ages trying to work out what was causing the problem, but finally worked out that v-vocal is creating 32 bit depth wav files where as my project and all other wav files are 16-bit.
How can i change v-vocal doing this or is there a simple and fast way to convert the 32bit file back to 16bit with no loss or limited loss of quality?
thanks!

Because your render is set to 32bit. This is not wrong. this is what it should be set at.
If your sound is stuttering, then you need to ajust your sound card settings, like latency and/or buffers. yuo also should list your pc specs with this also.
Have you thought about recording in 24bit??? Theres no reason for 16 bit recording in this day and age. 24bits is better. Theres less need for compression during tracking and you dont need to record as hot as with 16bits. Its a pretty huge subject and im just pointing out some benefits.

    Options/Global/ Audio files tab.
Set rendering to what ever you like.

I'm with CJ though, you really shouldn't be using less than 24 bit .

    thanks for the quick reply.
i know i rele should be recording with 24bit by now, but 16bit is what ive always done and never really had a reason to change.
i do want to, but i have a lot of songs that have been recorded at 16bit and arent finished, if i now set to record to 24bit, would i have to constantly change back to 16 bit if i wanted to edit old songs?
and also one thing that put me off a few years back was that i heard you lost quality when mixing down... is this still the case?
as you can probably tell i only do music casually, and dont get anywhere near as much time as i want to!
