Recording in "sound on sound mode" ?

Hi All,

When I'm recording in "sound on sound mode" I do not hear previously recorded clips on different lanes of same track I'm recording too??

Is this expected?  If so is there a way to enable previously recorded lanes?  Maybe I have something set wrong.

PS, In Sonar X3e.

Many thanks to all,
Ken

Best Regards,
Ken

This happened to me recently.  If I remember correctly, I had clicked the record button for the lane I planned to record on.  When I unclicked that and instead clicked the record button for the track itself I could hear the other clips.

There is an option in the preference menu to 'Mute previously recorded clips', Make sure that is unchecked

    Thanks Tim and CJ.

The trick is to record enable the track and not record enable the lane.  It then places the recorded clip in a new lane.  It would be nice if you could select the lane you wish to record the new clip in.  That way I could keep the number of lanes down.  Either way I can work with this.  I couldn't find anything in the manual to define this functionality.

CJ, I couldn't find the 'Mute previously recorded clips' checkbox.  There is a 'mute previous takes' under auto punch but I'm not using this.

    Thanks,
    Ken
