Recording issue- sonar x1 studio

I am having a problem in recording w/ sonar x1 Studio. After i have made a take, played back, etc. the system loses its armed status. To resolve this problem I have to exit the system and re-start Sonar, then re- open the project. Quite time consuming, especially in the heat of the productive/creative moment.   Iam using Windows7, 64 bit processor,  brand new Sony Viao computer, Tascam us1641 interface, that works fine using the older cakewalkhome studio 7. What to do?

The "record armed" button is pressed and ready to record; meters are indicating signal.

So by losing armed status, the armed for recording button turns off without you clicking it and it can't be re-armed without restarting the program?

That's right. BTW, in previous post  I meant to say that " meters do not indicate a signal" and  that recording is not possible.
