Recording problem

Hi guys

Just changed from Windows XP to 7 (64bit); using Sonar 8.5 producer and M-Audio Delta 44/ omni i/o set at 44.1 and 256 samples; have tried it on 48khz and 64 samples too.

Having a bit of a problem when recording- hit record then...when I stop the recorded piece the clip is pulled back by two bars and hence it's then out of time with the rest of the track!

Have I set something up incorrectly in audio options? Been trying all sorts but to no avail!

I've read on some posts that the (audio) metronome can cause some timing issues, however, I've always been able to use the metronome on previous editions of Sonar with no problems.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Intel Dual Core overclocked PC; M-Audio Delta 44+ Omni i/o; Event 20/20 BAS monitors; Virus B; M-Audio Oxygen 8; Laney AOR amps; Jackson SL1 and Ibanez guitars; POD 2; Boss GT-10; Boss ME-8; some outboard and a 24 channel desk!

Are you using Asio or WDM? Try switching from one to the other and record something. See if that fixes your problem.

Using WDM, I'll try Asio and see if that works.

Just tried it and it does work...excellent. Thank you :)

    Works :)

I assume asio drivers are better in 7. Forgive my ignorance- always used WDM in the past lol
