Recording with 4 digital output vs. 2

Hopefully, I ask this Q intelligently.

I have a good price on a demo Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 [MFR-Used Restock Model]
2x4 USB Audio Interface and will purchase if it will do what I think it will as explained (I hope) below.

I currently record vocalists, singer / songwriter etc. through a ART Tube MP into a Line 6 TonePort UX1 (USB 1.1 old school) with Sonar Producer 8.53. It gets 'er done. So just small time, no bands, symphonies...

I have always wanted to 1.) reamp some of my guitar tracks by bringing them out to my amp or stompboxes and back into sonar OR 2.) bring a reverb from my Lexicon hardware into Sonar in place of using sends to a convolution reverb and, if I'm correct, that isn't possible with my current setup which is 2 in, 2 out (the 2 outs going to my monitors).

Can I do these things with the Focusrite which is 2 in, 4 out? I assume so because now I have 2 extra outs (or even 4? with the 2 balanced outputs going to monitors leaving 4 unbalanced outs?) to play with.

Or are these techniques accomplished some other way?

Thanks much!

Yeah, you can do what you need to do Robby. You'll be fine with the Scarlett for re-amping etc. As long as you have the outs, you can send them to anything you want. :)
