Red Book Audio Burn Software

I currently use Wavelab on my DAW and am looking for something that would be less expensive to create red book audio CDs on my Vista (non-DAW) box. I need the following:

* Ability to crossfade tracks

* DAO burning

* Print CD jewel case with track list

* Basic editing functions

I tried posting in the Audio Creator forum and got no response. From what I can tell, this program won't do what I want anyway. Anyone have any suggestions other than Wavelab 6 Essential or Sony CD Architect?

Regards,
Dan

    OK. Well I may not have much of a choice

    Is CD Architect the current favorite? I used to have CD Architect before I switched to Wavelab when the old one was discontinued for awhile...

    Cd architect is cheaper than wavelab. CD arch is about $113 and wavelab is over $350

    Wavelab 6 Essential is $99. It's not for mastering, just basic editing and red book audio CDs. For what I'm looking for, I don't need the whole Wavelab suite as I already have that on my DAW.

    I got CD Architetct with Sound Forge recently... I was shocked to learn it was DX effects only... which seems trivial until you consider using a final EQ or comp/limiting pass and have a preference for a VST plugin.

    I was very surprised to stumble upon this.

    Other than? Cheaper than? Compared to Wavelab, CD Architect is a lot cheaper and it has everything you need. If you're looking for software under a hundred bucks, then maybe this program from Blaze audio? Or Nero? Roxio?

    Uh - the only other gotcha is the requirement to print labels - that might be a roadblock but I'm almost certain Roxio or Nero have that capability built in.

    PS - what was wrong with Pyro?

    For CD burning I prefer CD architect. It just the best option out there for PC.

    For label creating I like Acoustica.

    PS - what was wrong with Pyro?

    No CD text support, or PQ list editing. At least last time I tried it.

    Yes, I am too. However, for what I'm looking for, I'm okay with this. I don't have any DAW-related stuff on this PC, so no VST's are available for use anyway.

    As far as I can tell, the Blaze software doesn't allow crossfades between tracks. By implication, I don't think it supports DAO. Other than that, it looks decent. Pyro and Audio Creator support DAO, but I don't see where it can create printable track lists or do crossfades between tracks. I couldn't get an answer on the forum.

    I think I'm going to use CD Architect. I am hesitant to purchase the "lite" version of Wavelab and don't need the full version.

    Unfortunately, Newegg stopped carrying CDA...had it for $79 for the past year or two...

    Sweetwater and several others have it for $99. I did google one website that had it "for download" (?) for $59.
