Red Lights in the Command Center, and Other Braintree Issues

When Platinum was released I installed it from Command Center, skipping DimPro and Rapture as advised in this forum. I thought I was getting everything, but today after installing the Braintree thing, when I drop down the "Sonar Platinum" menu in CCC all the lights are red. Do I need to reinstall the Classic Creative FX Suite, for example? And who the heck has time to remember which effects are in which named "suite?" I don't really want to manage this stuff -- I thought that's what CCC was for. It also seems that the Braintree thing has changed some of my file location preferences. Is there a list of what it changes?

For the first time today I saw a \ProgramData\Cakewalk\Command Center\Downloads folder on my system drive, which is not where I would put it if I did it myself. It has some Anderton Collection stuff in it, a Boz PC module file and other miscellaneous items. Are these things running from this location, or are these used setup files that can be deleted? From reading in this forum I have become aware that some of the new goodies are "members only" and will not be available for download after today. Does that mean I can't re-download certain stuff I've paid for if I have a system failure down the road? (I have a one-year subscription.) If so, what do I have to save locally?

Sorry if this seems like a rant. I'm a little frazzled today. I have deadlines looming and I don't have time to manage Sonar, especially if goodies "expire" soon. If someone can tell me it's OK to relax, you don't have to do it this very minute, you won't miss out on anything you've paid for, then I'll shut up and take a closer look in a week or so when I have the time.

Thanks for reading, everyone!

Red means not installed. Yellow means an update is available. Green means all is well and up to date. For the C3 to work you need to use it to install your stuff. All of it.

So why, then, do I have Sonar access to the plugins that have red lights showing in CCC?

They may not be the most recent versions. I'm about to download the release now and can probably answer some of the other questions.

I just click stuff and let CCC do its thing. Keeps me out of trouble.

Craig - Do you use custom file and folder locations? Do you store downloads on your system drive? I won't ask if you know precisely which plugins belong to which "group," as you probably do, but for those of us who don't I want it handled by CCC. As noted above I have red lights on plugins that I am actually using. If the only problem is that they are not the latest versions, then according to John above, I should have yellow lights.

Keep in mind that C3 can't see any version or install from a previous version because it is in the connected area in the owners account that C3 checks not what is installed.

I decided to just let C3 do it all. This meant many things were reinstalled. The main reason I did it this way was so I would always know when an update was available.  C3 keeps track this but only what is installed via it.

Thanks, John. I should have known. Today I'll reinstall everything through Command Center and see if I achieve serenity that way. But I can't forget the time I reinstalled DimPro and it took a week to get it registered and working again.

I bit the bullet and downloaded/installed everything (except Melodyne, I have Editor) yesterday to get current with CCC since, while not perfect, it's obviously the future path. Other than taking a long time it was painless. Automatically installs and registers products that need it like dpro and rapture.

Do you still have to delete the Cakewalk registry folders before you install the new CCC DimPro, Rapture, Zeta, etc?

Craig - Do you use custom file and folder locations?

Sure do. I'm downloading the whole enchilada right now to see what happens, and will post the results.

Do you store downloads on your system drive?

Yes, but they don't live there long...they're downloads.

I won't ask if you know precisely which plugins belong to which "group," as you probably do, but for those of us who don't I want it handled by CCC.

When you click on the category, the CCC tells you what's in it.

As noted above I have red lights on plugins that I am actually using. If the only problem is that they are not the latest versions, then according to John above, I should have yellow lights.

I'm doing as many others are - just installing everything, which involves overwriting some samples I surely don't need to overwrite, just so that the CCC will remember everything it installed. I figure I only have to do this once, and then CCC will know what really needs to be updated vs. just what it didn't know about.

I'll be posting a thread soon with the results of what happened with my non-standard setup.
