Red Rover Not showing up as control surface

Red Rover had been working for me.  Now as I return to X3 to work on a new song, although Red Rover shows up in the plug-in manager as a control surface, and I add red rover in preferences midi control surfaces, it has parenthesis around it.  And in the master control view it says there is no control surface enabled- Select hardware control surface.  Red Rover is plugged into a usb port on the computer and is reiceving power, but is not seeing Sonar and Sonar does not see Red Rover.  How do I fix this???

... it has parenthesis around it...

That normally means SONAR was unable to load the plug-in (DLL).

You can try to reinstall it from SONAR (use selective install, so not reinstall everything). In case it is still
in parenthesis, there should be something in between the time it worked and now. Try to remember which
    software (updates) you have installed.

Please note that the plug-in is not a VST, so VST scan has no influence.
